I am the newsletter editor for an Australian VW club, the
Bad Little Bug-gers V-Dub Club of Queensland. We hold an annual event
called "Dubs by the Pub". This year it was held on 14 February, and shall
return again on 13 February 2000.
The event is a
great day, and attracts up to about 200 VW's of all sorts. The cars meet in
Brisbane and cruise in convoy over a distance of about 100kilometres to the
Ettamogah Pub, Sunshine Coast. Here we hold a show and shine with people's
choice voting. The car of the day for 1999 was a beautiful burgundy Karmann
Cabriolet and other trophy categories include Novelty, T1, T2, T3. Next
year there will be 20 trophy categories, including "Dog of the Day" - so
anyone can win a prize!!!!
